375 ml bottle thanks to Willrunforbeer. Batch number 5. Thanks for the chance at this high dollar share! Clear brown in color. Aroma is oak, toffee, dried flowers and honey. The flavor of course is sweet with honey but the toffee with a light trace of cognac and oak helps cut the sweetness. Also I’m not sure where the floral note comes from but it does have that as well. Pretty enjoyable.

Cloudy purple is an unusual and not necessarily appetizing appearance - you don’t see too many murky meads. The aroma is alcohol first, with some sticky honey notes, and then some light berryish fruits. Soft, fruity character with - I agree with Flurries here - a light balsamic note. A touch of alcohol late rounds things out. Decent, but rather unrefined.
