Description
Our founder Oli Lemke welded his first own brewing plant in a friend’s garage in 1998. Infected by Oli’s euphoria, his friends turned into builders and helped to transform a derelict S-Bahn unit at the Hakescher Markt into a brewery. On the 21st November 1999 his dream became reality: The Brauhaus Lemke opened for the very first time.

Draught at Lemkes am Schloss, the former Luisen-Bräu. Fruity aroma with a spicy hoppiness. Cloudy caramel colour. Stable, bubbly light brown head. The flavour is slightly sweet with a good aroma hoppiness, spicy and nice. High carbonation. Finishes with a slightly rough bitterness and not very clean.

Draught at the brewpub. Sweet, roasted aroma, some liquorice. Very dark brown colour, almost black. Semi-stable light brown head. The flavour is roasted, ending with a little sourness, or perhaps it is just something like liquorice. Hard roasted, but nice enough.

Hazy blond color. Nice hoppy aroma. Ordinary body, the malt appears later; there is some aromatic hop, strong bitterness. Maybe too long hop infusion.

Draught. Roasted, weak coffee aroma. Almost black colour, looks cloudy. Creamy, semi-stable head. Flavour clearly of coffee. I guess this is more of a stout than a porter.
