Description
We are a small craft beer micro brewery based in East Lothian. We were born in Pencaitland but now brew our artisan beers in our own custom built 10hL brewery in West Barns. Both our directors are Haddington born and bred, our brand design is by a Haddington designer, our grain is sourced from Drem and our spent grain is eaten by the coos in Athelstaneford! We are extremely proud of our East Lothian heritage and use the quality produce of the county where possible to produce our superior quality beers.

Our company slogan is drink, blether, be happy and we have developed our beers and branding with that in mind.

We absolutely love what we do and what we create and aim to put a smile on the handsome faces of our customers from our bright and eye catching branding and Scottish slang themed names through to the handcrafted fresh, crisp, tasty beers we produce! Slàinte!

330ml can from Beer52 at 4.5%. Cloudy light gold with small white top. Aroma is doughy with citrus pith and a light yeast/earthy note. Taste is more on the grassy bitter side with citrus and grains. Semi-dry, fine to moderate carbonation, medium bodied. A bit 'old hat' in so much as it lacks a hop intensity and is something I would expect to come from an old fashioned regional 'churn it out to the Co-Op' type brewery like Robinsons. It's pleasant enough though.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours darkest reddish - brown with a a fizzy deep tan head. The aroma is earthy, toasty mark, some smoke, frazzles, warming, sticky treacle, malt loaf and dried fruits. The taste is dry roasted malt, some bitterness, earthy, toasty, dull smoke, cacao nibs, chewy/toothy, coffee grounds, malt loaf and wood with a toasty finish. Light to medium body and moderate, fizzy carbonation. More body and depth than I was expecting. Decent.
