Can. It's an unclear chestnut colored beer with a big off-white to beige head. The aroma is quite malty, with fruity caramel, dark dried fruit and a touch of piney hops. It's medium bodied and quite dry on the palate, softly carbonated, with a mostly malty flavor. Bread crust, toffee, dark dried fruits and a light grassy, piney touch. Some figs. Medium length quite dry finish. A bit dull this one, but sure not bad. 220105

Can. Clear amber body under a long lasting, huge, foamy tan head. A bit weak aroma of dark malt, chocolate, and caramel. Nice taste, moderate sweet dark malt, chocolate and hint of caramel. Medium body and average aftertaste. A decent Christmas beer(or just dark bock) at grocery shop strength.

Can. An unclear orange colored beer topped by a finger-thick shortlived white head. Some curtains though. The aroma is tropical, with pineapple, grapefruit and some peach hints, along with a touch of pine cones and pale malts. It's a bit hard on the carbonation, and a bit more body wouldn't hurt, but at 4.7% it ain't bad. Semi-dry, with a decent bitterness. Grapefruit, pineapple, pine cones and a touch of orange and peach in the flavor. A vague maltyness in the back, and a mostly fruity finish. Easy drinkable and quite tasteful this one, and quenching. Rating: 7-3-7-3-15-3.5. 211213
Rerate. More yellowish this time it seems, and with a more lasting head. The aroma and flavor are more on the piney side, with a fruity sweetness on the nose that reminds me of lactose. Shouldn't be any lactose though. Quite bitter swallow. Really refrshing, quenching and tasteful this batch, with a good complexity. A bit more body and I'd be happy to award a 3.8 score. 221124

Can. Black body under a dense beige head. Aroma has dark malt and Christmas spices. I didn’t exactly find anything made me think of ‘pepperkake’ but it’s a really nice spicy stout. Some typical Christmas flavors like ginger, cardamon and cinnamon in find combination with dark malt, dry fruit, dark chocolate and a touch of alcohol. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. More taste than aroma, but definitivly a very nice, spicy Christmas ale.

Can, at Håndverkeren. It's a black one, topped by a dark beige head of moderate size. Some lacing. The aroma has lots of ginger and cardamon, still with roasted malts doing the heavy labor. Dark chocolate and coffee too. Some alcohol and a hint of dark dried fruits. Perhaps a bit heavy on the spices this one, both in aroma and flavor, but it's sure nice. It's full bodied, warming and very smooth, softly carbonated, quite sweet, with a rather spiced flavor. Ginger and cardamon. Roasted malts, coffee and some dark chocolate in the flavor, followed by some dark dried fruits and hints of coffee. Alcohol too, in a delicious way. Lasting sweet, spiced finish with a good dash of coffee and roasted malts. A bit heavy on the spices this one, but it's nice as hell anyway. 211119

Can. Unclear pale golden body under a fading white head. Nice, fresh, fruity aroma. Citric fruit, grapefruit and a little pine. Taste is light, pale malt, fresh fruity hops like aroma and moderate bitterness. Balanced light bodied and same fresh aftertaste. A nice and uncomplicated session IPA the way it’s meant to be.

On tap at Håndverksølfestivalen. It's a lightly hazy yellowish golden colored beer topped by a finger-thick white head. Some lacing. The aroma is quite subtle, with grass, pine cones and a touch of tropical fruits. It's dry, full to medium bodied and pleasantly carbonated, with a pleasant bitterness. The flavor is more intense than the aroma, with some grapefruit, as well as the pine cones, tropical fruityness and grass notes found in the aroma. Medium length finish. A refreshing and pleasant beer indeed, but the style is far from the most interesting. Except for slaking the thirst though. 190608

On tap at Håndverksølfestivalen. A black beer topped by a finger-thick tan head leaving some lacing. The aroma has a light boozy touch, some licorice and dark chocolate cake, along with roasted malts and a nice coffee addition. It's full-bodied and warming on the palate, rather sweet, with a touch of tannin. A bit too much tannins actually. Caramel sauce, roasted malts, coffee, some licorice, wood and whiskey, and a hint of lactose sweetness. Lasting finish with sweetness, coffee, roasted malts, some booze and wood. A delicious beer indeed, tasteful, sweet and moreish. 190608
