Bottle, 75cl corked, at the brewpub. Lacings left as the beige finger thick head slides down. Murky brown body. The aroma is roasted, with coffee grit and dark chocolate. Some raisins. It’s dry on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation level. Full body. Roasted malts, some charcoal and raisins in the flavor. Coffee notes and dark chocolate hints. Roasted bitterness. Lasting roasted bitterness in the finish. Sort of one dimensional but it’s sure a fine beer anyway. 140629

Bottle, 75cl corked, at the brewpub. A dark amber coloured beer, hazy and with a finger thick light beige head. The aroma is on the hoppy side, grapefruit, citrus peel, pine cones and a faint touch of peach. Lightly roasted, bready maltiness too. It’s quite roasted in the flavor, some caramel and bread chimes in, but it’s the hops that rule. Lots of good bitterness, pine cones and citrus peel. Full body and soft carbonation, quite dry on the palate. Lasting bitter finish with a nice roasted touch. Hard to pin the style for this one, but it’s really pleasant. Good to have a bottle almost on my own. 140629

Bottle, 75cl corked, at the brewpub. A hazy dark orange colored beer with a small, off white head. Fruity aroma with tropical fruityness, yeast notes and a herbal touch. It’s quite dry on the palate, with soft carbonation, medium to full body. Some white sugar in the mostly fruity flavor. Herbal notes, some bitterness and some apricot. Long herbal bitter finish with a good fruityness. Suffers a bit from the abv this one, but it’s a fine brew anyway.140629

750 ml corked bottle, batch #7, from the brewery. Bottled 04.04.2013. ABV is 8.5%. Hazy brown colour, moderate to low off-white head. Strong sweetish aroma of oranges, hints of chamomille. The flavour is a bit "raw", medium sweet with fairly distinct hops, peppery notes. The aftertaste is woody, slightly metallic and ashy. Not too bad, might improve a little with a year’s cellaring.
