Tap @ the brewpub. Clear amber body with a dense beige head. Aroma has malt, some bread and ripe fruit. Flavor is surprisingly strong compared with expectations from aroma. Quite malty with bread, hint of acidic berries, some ripe fruit and well balanced bitterness. Fine body with a sweet aftertaste. Rather nice and complex, but far from Nøgne Ø batch 100. I found lot lesser bitterness and lesser fruity. But it has a fine balance and the alcohol is surprisingly well hidden.

Tap @ Apotekergården. 6% version. Clear deep golden body with a dense, lacing tan head. Mild malty aroma, spicy yeast and esters. Flavor is sweet, moderate fruity, some Belgium yeast and low bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Plain, drinkable but nothing exiting going on.

Tap @ Apotekergården. Slightly unclear pale golden body practical without any head, just a quick fading white film. Mild, very refreshing aroma, mild apple, slightly funky with a floral touch. Flavor is also, light, mild very refreshing apple, apple juice, touch of lemon, flowers and slightly funky. Very tart finish. Body feels light and alcohol is well hidden. Very nice and slightly original cider.

Tap @ the brewpub. Slightly unclear golden body with a white head. Quite mild malty aroma with a little spicy yeast touch. Flavor is mild, smooth pale malt, some spicy yeast. Medium body and moderate in aftertaste. Soft and quaffable beer, but I don’t find the wheat nor banana and coriander flavors here that’s been noted by the previous raters. Wonder if they served me the golden ale instead? Would re-try by next visit.

Tap @ Apotekergården. Unclear golden body with a white head. Light aroma of pale malt and esters, hint of Belgium yeast. Flavor is mild malt, fruiy, Belgium spicy yeast, esters and low bitterness. Medium body and a bit short in aftertaste. Nothing extraordinary really, but decent enough within a Belgium golden/blonde style.

Apotekergaarden 170224. Black color with a tan head. Aroma is smoked, roasted malt. Flavor is smoked, roasted malt, ried fruit, licorice, cocoa, coffee, chocolate. Nice beer.

On tap at the brewpub. A black one, topped by a minimalistic dark beige to light tan head. The aroma is roasted and burnt, with some dark dried fruit, licorice, chocolate and coffee. It's full-bodied and very smooth on the palate, with a low but pleasant carbonation level. Semi-dry, with a decent bitterness. The flavor too is driven by roasted and burnt malts, with licorice, dark dried fruit and chocolate notes. Lasting roasted and burnt finish. A bit thin this one, but quite nice anyway. 240217

Bortimot svart med tynt beige skum. Lukter kakao, sjokolade. Smaker Kakao, salt lakris. Noe tørr.

Pitstop sammen med Cunningham, på vei østover etter Jæren Øl- og siderfestival: lett uklar gylden med fint skum som varte helt ned. Krydret fruktighet med bitterappelsin, urter og koriander (belgisk gjær?). Fin munnfølelse og deilig bitterhet i den tørre avslutningen, som også hadde en tydelig mersmak.
