Bottle, 75cl corked, at the brewpub. A slow gusher, resulting in a dark, dark brown beer with a finger-thick, dense, light tan head leaving lacings. It’s quite roasted on the nose, with licorice, coffee and dark chocolate. The flavor is less roasted, quite sweet but far from cloying, there’s coffee, dark chocolate, some fennel seed and a salty licorice touch that lasts. Long finish. Full body with a tad much carbonation. Overall, really nice, but a bit sweeter than I prefer. 140525

Bottle, 750ml corked, at the brewpub. An unclear, dark orange-golden beer topped by a small, dense, light beige head. The aroma has citrus peel and pale malts, with some yeast, grass and pine cones. There’s a little sweetness in the flavor, with pale malts, citrus peel, pine cones and a nice bitterness. Medium to full body, a bit high level of carbonation, but nice, and it’s quite dryish. Bitter and fruity finish, quite dry. Far from exciting this one, a bit yeasty on the nose, but sure acceptable. 140525

Pours clear golden with a few white bubbles. Aroma has notes of apple, funk, vinegar and hint of acetone. Taste is light sweet and light sour with a long dry, yeasty and slightly sour finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is fizzy.

Bottle, 75cl corked. A clear golden cider, still and dull. A bit low on aroma, more or less apples only. The same goes for the flavor, where there’s also some lemon and grass. Dry and pleasantly carbonated. Lasting finish with too little flavor. Would like more apple flavor and aroma, but it’s a nice one anyway. 150321
