On tap at the brewpub. A big, creamy light beige head forms over a hazy amber colored body. Nice lacing. The aroma has some toffee and bread, with a nice piney fruityness. Grass. It’s quite bitter on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation level. Semi dry. Bread, toffee and a good dash of piney, grassy hops in the flavor. Long bitter and lightly bready finish. Quite nice indeed, but I’ve had better from this brewery. 170202

Apotekergaarden 110816. Amber color with a beige head. Flavor is citrus, hop,malt, pine, grapefruit, yeast, sugar, spices. Full body. Nice beer.

On tap at Apotekergaarden. A dark brown to black beer with a small, dense, light tan head. Licorice, roasted malts, some coffee and dark dried fruits, hints of tar and bonfire and some citrus zest. It’s full bodied, but not super heavy duty, it’s quite dry, yet with residual sweetness, smoothly carbonated and with a little warmth. Roasted malts, tar, licorice, coffee and since prunes and dates in the flavor. Decent bitterness too. Lasting roasted finish with tar and licorice. Quite pleasant this one, surprised it could work after Dark Horizon 5th Edition. 170106

On tap @ the brewpub. Clear, dark amber body with a nice tan head. Aroma has dark malt, chocolate and some coffee. Flavor is medium roasted, dark malt, chocolate and hint of cocoa powder. Balanced bitterness. Medium body and decent aftertaste. Easy drinkable, tasty British style Stout.
