Bottle, 6.5%. Four months past BB date. Sweet brown sugar aroma. Clear dark brown/chestnut colour. Very small head. Thin mouthfeel, but with some flavour. Quite roasted and a little bready. Hint of pepper. Well-balanced.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of oh6gdx. Pours a clear, golden with a white and slightly lacing head. Sweetish aroma of brewing cereals. Medium-bodied with fairly sweet malt accents and a lightly metallic edge. The finish is dry. Quite a straight lager. 161007

Can. A nut-brown beer with a thick light tan head. The aroma is sweet combined with a slight acidity, with notes of nuts as well as lighter notes of citrus and hops. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, leading to a very dry metalic finish. A boring flavor.

Beautiful copper-brown beer with white head. Aroma is malty and slighty sweet. Flavour is malty and slightly bittery. Carbonation is quite high and there is some metallic in the palate.

Can. Light unclear to hazy yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate yeasty, some lemon / lime, wheat, some notes of corriander ! Flavor is moderate sweet and light acidic with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. It is more like a witbier than a lager !

Pale golden colour, small white head. Not much of an aroma -some hops and malts. Taste is hoppy and bready. Not very special, but drinkable.

440ml can as 1836 Classic Porter III. Low-level brownish foam over a deep mahogany body. Flashes of sweet malts in aroma. Dark malts at first then the flavour leads in the direction of tart fruits. Some lingering aftertaste. Quite thin palate. Alright, but not what I would call a classic porter (sampled with Finn, Tromsø 06.09.2007).
