Cask@GBBF2007. Golden colour, small white head. Sweet fruits and redberries along with some appleish sourness. Flavour is quite much the same along with wooden and some slight grassy notes.

Bottle. Clear medium amber color with a small fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing off-white head. Aroma is moderate cask wood, oak, toffee, caramel, fruity. Initial flavor is moderate sweet, finish flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Cask gravity at Bowl Inn, Charing. Not a terribly inspiring beer for number 3400, but hey. Gold colour with thin white head. Little bit hazy and a tad green appley and nettley. Bit off putting on aroma with a bit of rubber and then this nettle dominates the rest of the beer. Not my favourite.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol. An indifferent golden ale with a slightly sweet aroma followed by some flavours of malt and a hint of hops in the finish. Bland.

Cask at the Babbington Arms (JDW), Derby. Gold with a creamy off-white head; rather unpleasant vegetative aroma; and strange vegetable flavours, sour and fruity at the same time, with perhaps a hint of melon; a dry finish. Rather strange, and not very welcoming.

Bottled @ 99p from Morrisons. Copper coloured with decent white head. Slightly fruity malt aroma. Flavour was dry with some hops and a hint of liquorice. OK.

(Cask at Market Porter, Borough, London 27 Apr 2007) Amber colour with brief off-white head. Malty, nutty taste with notes of citrus (orange, mandarin) and fruity hops. Malty, fruity taste with citrus, orange, nuts and generous amounts of earthy hops in the finish. Nice and refreshing.

Cask handpull at Market Porter, Southwark. Gold colour with thin white head. Malty golden beer. Slight yeast aroma. Little bit flat/flabby aroma. Flabby in mouth, some butter. Goodish hop on finish. Drying. First 2/3rds of the beer are not too good.

Cask at the Babington Arms, Derby. An intensely dark port red, with a milk chocolate coloured head; an intense chocolate malt flavour with some smokeness; and a very dry, long and warming aftertaste. An excellent stout.
