Description
Brewery started in 1992 on Craycombe Farm, Fladbury, Evesham. By 1997 expansion required that the brewery moved to a larger unit at the farm and a 5BBL plant was in use. However the brewery soon outgrew the plant and production of some beer was contracted out to Highgate. The brewery moved to its current location in Spring 2002 to allow for more expansion. In Spring 2013 the brewery was taken over by Ambridge Brewery. Brewing of the Wyre Piddle brands ceased shortly afterwards.

Bottle - possibly not a very good one - as it poured almost flat. Bronze colour, with a malty aroma and flavour and little else.

Bottle picked up at Morrissons, Aylesbury 8th August 2006, and drank this in a field at Cropredy, Fairport Conventions Cropredy Festival Friday 11th August. Can’t say that I was overly impressed by this warm golden coloured beer but it was only 99 pence so a veritable bargain. Easy going beer with some hoppy notes prevalent throughout, touch sweet not too bitter, all in all a reasonable beer that is just a touch on the safe side.

Bottled. (Wyre Piddle) Clear, deep golden beer with a small, white head. Roasted malt, nuts and hints off coffee-beans in the aroma. The flavor has the same roasted and nutty flavor, and some fruity hops in the background. Medium body and a roasted, lightly dry finish. Nice beer, but maybe a bit on the roasted side. (060713)

Bottle from Morrisons. Odd reading everyone elses reviews because I quite liked this. Orange caramel colour with good malty caramel and ticky toffee nose with some light hop. Toffee and caramel are dominant throughout with slightly dry herby hop tang on the end. Although the toffee is there, it is not overly sweet. Quite drinkable without being exceptional

Sampled cask conditioned at Prince of Wales, Foxfield, Cumbria.
Pale amber. Neutral aroma. Sweetish and fruity with decent maltiness. Lighty hoppy and enjoyable finish. Good, but not exceptional.
