Description
Brewery started in 1992 on Craycombe Farm, Fladbury, Evesham. By 1997 expansion required that the brewery moved to a larger unit at the farm and a 5BBL plant was in use. However the brewery soon outgrew the plant and production of some beer was contracted out to Highgate. The brewery moved to its current location in Spring 2002 to allow for more expansion. In Spring 2013 the brewery was taken over by Ambridge Brewery. Brewing of the Wyre Piddle brands ceased shortly afterwards.

Cask at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. Pale straw with a tight cream head; grainy aroma; sour grainy taste; and a sweet and sour finish. Perhaps not in great condition (but that’s unusual here), perhaps just not a great beer.

Cask at the Walsall CAMRA Beer Festival 2014. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a bubbly white head. The aroma is citrus malt and surprisingly very light chocolate. Not sure where that comes from. The flavour is medium to light bitter with a watery malt light hop fruit palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation.

Thanks to Seanyfo for this bottle. The beer is brown in the glass, beige head. The beer starts mild, creamy. Not too deep in aroma, but smooth. The mainpart is a bit malty, not too Ale-typical. The aftertaste is long, dry, a bit roasted.
--> Nice, but could be a bit deeper in aroma. --> 7/12/7/7

Very dark Amber in colour but more like a sweetened old ale in character. Sweet aroma with some fruitiness. No head.

500ml bottle - An indifferent sort of beer. Nothing offensive. Some light toffee, and a thin smearing of hops. Pleasant enough, but largely lifeless and lacking in character.
