Description
There's a method in Mr Winter's madness. From the brew to the bottle, we carefully consider every element of our range to give you a taste of the unexpected.

With IPAs, golden ales and stouts in our range, we have a beer for every palate. From light and fruity, to dark and nutty, each one combines high-quality hops with barely, water and yeast to create a unique, full-bodied flavour.

Started in September 2001 by Dave Winter, as Winter’s Brewery. In early 2020, the brewery changed it's branding to the current MrWinter’s.

7/2/2025. Cask at the 15th Elysian Winter Beer Festival. Pours clear amber brown with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma is bready, malt, toffee, hoppy, fruity. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness and body. Oily, average to soft carbonation. Dry fruity finish. Decent.

Handpull cask at the Ribs of Beef, Norwich. Light gold, maybe a tiny bit hazy. Small film of white head. Big citrus aroma with pink grapefruit to the fore. Sweet initial taste with a slightly sulphrous bitterness in the finish. Not crazy about the aftertaste, which has that sulphrous astringency that can easily be overdone.

Handpull cask at the Alexandra Tavern, Norwich. Light and ruddy brown, clear with a small loose off-white/beige head. Aroma is pretty light but I'm getting some woody notes, a little bit of berry and stone fruit. Sweet taste with tangy bitter hops coming in quickly. Some turps, some cherry. Light body, no carbonation. Solid.
