(Cask at Craft Beer Co Clapham, London, 28 Nov 2015) Black colour with brief, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, chocolate and black rye bread. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, coffee, black rye bread and a balanced roasty bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with just a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well made stout. Nice one.

Cask handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Tuesday 30th December 2015 Pours black with a creamy textured light tan head, looks great. Some smooth milk chocolate on the nose, this comes through rather neatly in the mouth also, with a little cocoa powder edge and nicely integrated roastiness. Smooth well done simple but damn tasty stout, like it a lot. A7 A5 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 17/12/2015. Jet black with a frothy, beige head. Rich, toasty malts, a suggestion of black coffee and liquorice before a dry finish. Enjoyable.

Keg at The Southern. Hazy golden body with no head. Steady carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of freshly opened bag of Citra hops, lemon and passionfruit. Flavour of minerals, orange pith, lemon zest and tonic water. Medium body with a spritzy texture. Very fizzy. Crisp and very drinkable - a beer I could happily drink all day.
