6th Dec 2015: cask in The Crown Inn, Oakengates Shropshire. Ruby/Brown body, off-white head. Malty throughout with definite chocolate and coffee flavours coming through from the start in both the nose and taste. Really enjoyed this, have they changed the recipe? Just checked the other reviews: can’t be the same beer if you read what others have said.

Tired at the three horseshoes, Waddington. Aroma is citrus fruit, with a touch a grassy hops. The beer has a rich golden colour with a thick white head. Taste has a citrus freshness and a bitter finish.

Cask half-pint in The Sidings, Castletown Isle of Man on 10th April 2015. Pale golden body, pure white head. Too citrusy for my liking, even though this was a light flavoured brew, subtle, delicate aroma and taste of grapefruit: not robust enough for my palate.

Cask @ Abel Heywood, Manchester. Golden-amber with a thick creamy head. Has a dry tasting hop with some fruitiness attached but not much. There’s some malt in its nose and it’s fairly easy to drink.

Nice dark colour. Aroma of Granny Smith apple. Flavour has a light tartness. Dark bitter malts struggle to make their mark. This may have been on the turn.
