Description
Four Winds joined the burgeoning BC craft beer scene and opened their doors to a public thirsty for new local offerings on June 1, 2013. Owned, operated and built from the ground up by the Mills family and friends, we are inspired by the Four Winds in gathering flavours from around the world to create our unique West Coast and European styles. We take great pleasure in the application of new world innovations while staying true to old world techniques. Motivated by the limitless potential of beer, as well as the great brewers who came before us, we aim to craft bold beers with character, depth, and balance.

Pale, slight haze, thick head. Quite fruity - I guess that's the dh, and that characteristic carries through the palate as well. Not much bitterness, malt base is clean but otherwise doesn't offer a ton. If the dry hop does it for you, rock on.

Opaque. Thick head. Well, it does have a weedy aroma. Apparently pink kush has a floral character, though here the beer comes across dank with some linalool and floral beyond that would be power of suggestion. Pale malt base isn't bad. Bitterness only moderate.

Pinkish amber sort of colour. No head. Light black currant and sort of an almost cinnamon spiciness. Light tartness. The gentle, balanced fruitiness works, especially on a nice autumn day.

Can, courtesy of Ryan
The usual pale blond, cloudy, with medium head. The aroma seem to play more with citrus notes than dankness. It's dry, and therefore a bit starchy, but also soft; not getting interesting vibes from the malt base; generic citrus hopping, bit of pith; and final astringency.
Quite boring, in 2023.

On tap at Darby's, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is neutral, with maybe some straw and gritty toasted grain. Flavour is very timid, even for the style, with some straw and crisp biscuity malt. Barely anything going on here despite the dry-hopping. Useless.

Poured from 473mL can (pkg 09/2023). Hazy yellow with white head. Grapefruit hops with mild resin. Average depth. Expected more dankness to emulate real Pink Kush, so ultimately doesn't achieve the goal it sets out to achieve. Still decent.

16oz @ Ryan's. Appearance: cloudy straw with a huge white head. Aroma: citrusy, some botanicals and tropical fruits. Taste: along the same lines, very grassy and herbally, some weedy aftertaste. Overall: ok.

Pale hazy straw. Nose and palate are quite sour , but something that evades me is off here

Poured from the tap. Clear pale blonde with small white head. Clean, mild tropical hops in the background, a little bit weak of a body, but okay enough.
