Wasn't sure what to expect, but this was a real pleasure. Aromas of honey, biscuit, lemon drops and dried wood (!). There's a real earthiness balanced by a full mouthfeel and some light citrus.

Bottle, batch 1. Creeper. Nearly clear gold with a large white head. Crackery and spicy with hints of tropical, stone and citrus fruit. Slightly slippery, high carbonation. Softer and fruitier (but still pretty dry) than suggested by the aroma with crackers, spices and a little bracken at a finish that could have been a little more bitter. But this is another good one.

Bottle. Slight gusher (only been in fridge 24 hours). Misted gold, 2cm fluffy white head. Funky hay and bread aroma with oranges, lemons, herbs, some boot polish. Then a bit white grapey in the taste with some under-ripe nectarines as well as light bread before decent bitterness. Right up my street.

Tap. Just unclear reddish brown, an off white head retreats to the rim but lasts. Moody cherry aroma, lots of oak , some tired caramel, earthy funk. Much more of a lemony taste. Moderately sour, dryish. A little peppery at the oaky end. Nicely balanced.

My 4th Australian-brewed mild of the week, which is not normal. Bottle. Dark brown with a 2cm beige head. Aroma of singed grainy bread, chocolate, light spices. Fairly light bodied but not for 3.6%. Toasty with spices and mocha. Soft but not sweet with modest bitterness. Proper characterful quaffing beer.

Forgot the photo, clean lightly farmy saison. Hay, touch of phenolic pink peppercorn.

Cloudy golden amber with a puffy cm of white head. Aroma of peach, spicy, grassy and earthy yeast-driven notes, apple box. Creamy, alive. Sweet at first with bread and peach before firm spicy bitterness gradually grips.

Can from Hop Shop, Frankston. Pours clear pale gold with white foam. Aroma: crackers, lemon, spicy saison yeast, herbal. Taste: more of the same, mid saison yeast funk. Towards dry on the palate. Medium body with soft carbonation. Nice.

Can. Deep red with a spectacular pink head that doesn't last. 3+ Aroma: brooding bootpolish funk, old lemon, feisty berries. Sour - berries, beer or both - with a nice softness to the texture. Bootpolish verging on ointment funk. Dry but there's some richness from the berries. Interesting herbal notes at the end.
