Cask. Bar Stewards Sheffield. Hazed pale orange gold. Super creamy white head. Looks boss. Nose has clean malt. Some sweet apple. Taste is sweet and a little sour. Light body. Slightly sour finish. Odd.

Bottle. Beer Central Sheffield, I think. Mostly clear medium amber. Very decent thick swirl of pale beige. Nose has well ripe conference pear. Thin malts. Some paint stripper. Taste is fairly sweet with a light bitterness. Drinks under the ABV with fine carbonation. Pear juice and paint stripper to finish.

Bottle. StarmoreBoss Sheffield. Best wine and spirits place in Sheffield. Beer selection isn’t shabby either. Anyhoo. Hazed park copper gold. Decent white foam is blotchy but lasting. Nose has spicy malt. Citrus peel. Fruit salad sweets. Nice berry notes. Taste is light sweet with a good balance of spicy bitterness. Clean and easy drinking. Medium foamy carbonation. Dry and light bitter finish.

26/2/2022. Bottle shared with the ITFC boys at the Morecambe tasting. From Beer Central, Sheffield. Pours slightly hazy dark orange with a frothy white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, sweet malt, citrus, grass. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, oily, average carbonation. Quite nicely done.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours bitter brown with minimal off-white head. There’s autumn fruits in the aroma, plus hints of bitter oranges. Bitter hops are upfront in the mouth, together with malts and autumn fruits. Finish is dry but with some sweetness. Not bad at all. Said to be a West Coast Pale, but veering more towards a bitter in my view.

Cask from the Nottingham Beer Festival 2021. Amber colour with an off white head. Aroma and taste are a bit weird. Earthy citrus, floral and slightly tart. Light body.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Hazed deep orange. Barely a head. Nose has stewed hop. Spicy rye. Taste is sweet with stewed hop bitterness. It’s marketed as a style it definitely doesn’t match up with. Not too fussed.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Pale hazed copper colour. Suds of off white. Nose has wort. Ginger biscuit. Some hedgerow fruit. Taste is a little sweet with a herbal bitterness. Light to medium body. Fairly high carbonation. Gets pretty dry and maybe a little tart. Light bitter finish. I’m sure this isn’t as intended.
