Cask at the Indeed tap room. This is not very different from the original. There is a citrus aroma, whereas the original is drier. Lightly roasted malt and hops in the flavor.

Cask at Indeed. Black and a thin head. Sweeter than the original, with mild vanilla in the aroma and the flavor. Good palate. Vanilla finish.

Cask at Indeed. This beer is black and hasa good head on top.vanilla in thw aroma and flavor, with chocolate and moderately roasted malt. I find the palate to be fairly heavy and very smooth. The best beer from Indeed yet.

355mL can, sent from khoffman43 (thanks a lot, Kyle), pours a hazy golden with a small just-off-white head. Very inviting aromatics, full of floral hops, a bit of resin, and some crisp crackery malt. Flavour brings out dry, citrusy, floral and very grassy hops upfront, with some crisp crackery malt in back just to balance things. Drinks very easily, with a nice dry, crisp mouthfeel, leaving a mild astringency on the finish. Very solid pale ale.

12 oz. can, sent from khoffman43 (thanks Kyle), pours black with a fairly small tan / light brown head. Aroma is super roasted, with dark roasted malt and burnt espresso, atop some harsh citrus hops - lovely nose. Flavour brings out bitter, dry cocoa, dark roasted malt and slightly burnt espresso, with some fairly potent sprucey, piney hops to balance, leaving a super dry and highly roasted, slightly bitter finish. Delicious black IPA - this is how you do them right.

12 oz can purchased at Zipp’s in Minneapolis, Minnesota and gifted to me by Tim. Canned on 10/28/12 according to the sticker on the six pack holder. Pours hazy golden with a strong thick head. The head leaves behind nice lacing. Aroma is nicely clean hops, the hops are slightly sweet and a mix of bright citrus and light pine. Fresh, clean and nice. Flavor follows suit with a nice sweet grapefruit peaking through a light bubblegum hoppiness. Has a medium bitterness. Malt... what malt? The palate is light bodied with ample carbonation. Nice hop drink, I would like a bit less bitterness and a little more of that grapefruit. Poured into an 8oz mini nonic, thanks Tim.

12 oz can purchased at Zipp’s in Minneapolis, Minnesota and gifted to me by Tim. Canned on 11/01/12 according to the sticker on the six pack holder. Thick, sticky head on a dark brown almost black body. Looks pretty. Hops dominate but I really like a nice cocoa/bittersweet chocolate tickles the back of the throat as it is going down. Has a medium-light yet rich body, which makes it feel like chocolate-hop syrup drink. Aroma all pine and citrus hops with an indistinct malt background. I like it, thanks Tim. Poured into an 8oz mini nonic.

Tap at Repiblic uptown. Daek brown with a little red to the color. Light atoma of grain and sugar. Somecomplexity to the flavor, which starts dry but opes up to dried fruit and sweet malt. Good palate.

Can courtesy of Atom. Sweet milk chocolate and spruce hops aroma. Deep mahogany with a large tan head. Roasty malt, milk chocolate, and piney hops flavor. Body on the light side of medium, soft carbonation. Good stuff. I love black IPA’s.

12 oz can purchased at Zipp’s in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Canned on 11/01/12 according to the sticker on the six pack holder (nice solution to the dating challenge). The pour is a deep brown black with a one inch tan head. The aroma is a light dark chocolate, fresh cracker malt, tropical citrus hops and a bit of pine. The taste is the toasted cracker malt, then unsweetened chocolate, light orange citrus fruit hop, and then finishes with a light roast and a gentle pine flavor. Nice progression of flavors. The palate is medium to light bodied, very dry and roasty in the finish. Nice one. Thanks to Tyler, and my Dad, for the assist on this one.
