Bottle, 12oz. A clear, golden beer topped by a finger-thick white head. The aroma is grassy and piney, with a generic fruityness and some malts. It’s quite bitter in the mouth, full-bodied and dry, with a decent carbonation level. A tad too sweetish though, and with some bready, almost caramel-like notes. Bitter and lightly fruity finish. Well, it’s a decent brew, but it doesn’t impress in any way, actually it’s rather uninteresting and not a beer I’d like to have again. 130805

Sample at Daily Growler. Hazy golden color with a medium white head that evaporates gradually. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of wheat and banana. Light body with flavors of wheat, grassy hops and bananas. The finish is crisp with a wheaty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle 22fl.oz. @ [ (Easter "Flags of many nations" Tasting) by Chriso - London ].Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, tart notes, light alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is medium full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130331]

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours translucent gold with a slight white head. Aromas of citrus and other fruit with a touch of light roast malt. Med body, almost. Flavor is fruit/perfume with definite roast malt. It’s hoppy. The fruit is citrus plus something else. Would be a good session ale. Lots of flavor for the low ABV.

Pours a cloudy amber, with little head. Aroma includes rather muted hops, malt, and floral notes. Flavor is primarily notable for the hops, but there’s a lot of sweetness there, too, in the malt undertones. Tropical fruitiness and citrus notes abound. Very full, resinous mouthfeel. Finish is rather bittersweet. Alcohol content is well hidden.

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours translucent gold with a slight, transient white head. Aroma is lightly bready with a hint of earthy hop. Med body. Flavor is bready with more than a hint of citrus and noble hop. Strangely there’s a mild hop burn. Which is not consistent with the flavor. But hop is good. Ok. It’s bready. Should be. It’s hoppy. Should be. Yet it does not seem to have a lot of Saaz hop. But the flavor is almost suggesting Saaz. And it burns lightly. Mysterious, but good.

Bottle - Heavy pine and malts with a bit of booze. Clear orange with almost no head. Very resinous, with a nice balance of malt but the alcohol is evident and burns. I like the balance, and it is a bit spicy with a boozy burn which gives it an interesting taste, but there are so many better in this style.

Bottle - Grapefruit, resin and a nice citrus sweetness. Clear pale gold with a bubbly head. Bright grapefruit and a huge bitterness that fades quickly. Finish is surprisingly clean. A bit perfumy at the end, but a great beer.

Draft at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark brown with orange glints and a creamy beige head. Nice spicy aroma. Med body. Mild sweet and clovely spicy. Finishes very pleasant. Gets just a tad earthy in the finish.
