GABF 2015. Lightly tart, not a lot going on. A light, sour bite. Refreshing, light on the palate. It does finish dry. There is not a lot going on here, and that is ok for a Berliner.

Can, stable dense, long lasting bubly creamy head, slightly hazy pale orange color, aroma of bready malt flowers and herbs, strong shrubby herbal bitterness, light malty backbone. pleasant quaffable APA.

Draft. Light gold/orange body with a short off-white head, rapidly diminishing. Aroma of pepper, citrus, lemon, clove, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Hard to detect any blood orange in either the aroma or flavor other than the light citrus. It’s mostly pepper and clove. Some alcoholic notes boost the peppery finish. Not much of a saison.

12oz can. Filtered amber-copper body. Respectable off-white head. Not enticing oily pine aroma. Really has an antiquated feel to it. Caramel/specialty malts...piny earthy odd hop tones. Drinkable, but not that impressive for the style. Rich and malty.

12oz can. Deep burgundy-brown unfiltered body. Thick beige head. The aroma is a pinch dry and astringent. Pretty enjoyable offering. Smooth caramel/brown malt notes. Balanced with some non-descript bitterness. Kind of mundane, not so much malt depth, but OK.

Oddball example of the style. 12oz can. Nice fluffy white head on top of a tan-orange body. The aroma is full of extract-like lemongrass, too bold and in your face. Well made, on the lighter side of full bodied. I don’t really like any of the adjuncts...the basil fleshes out the oddness. An OK beer to try once, but I definitely wouldn’t want a sixpack.

A 1" head of foam sitting on a slightly cloudy light golden coloured brew with a short life and minimal lacing.
Lots of coriander with some pepper and fruity citrus notes. I do get the oranges in the smell as well.
The taste is spicy with the coriander and pepper. Fruity with the oranges. Yeasty. Not sweet, not bitter, but comes across as dry to the palate. Slight hint of tartness from the fruit...I am drinking it near room temp and I am really enjoying it.
Great smooth mouthfeel.

Pours a red colour with an ample head of foam that is fairly long lasting.
The smell is very light. Some semi sweet notes of caramel malt and that’s it.
The taste is smooth but kind of lacking in flavour. Mild malt sweetness and grain, almost no hop presence.
Decent body, this is a dullish brew.

12 oz. can into a large pilsner. Best by 09/152015. A: Clear deep brass with little head or retention. Patchy lacing. S: Pale malt scent much like a pilsner. Light floral hop note T: Following the nose, pale cracker malts and bitter crisp hops combine in nice balance to make a good clean taste. Nothing extraordinary but nicely done even if more pilsner-like than pale ale. A bit more ale flavor as it warms. M: Thin for the strength and not terribly highly carbonated. Average. O: Doesn’t strike me as much like any pale ale I know but a good tasting brew nonetheless. Worth a try if you’re a pilsner fan seeking to get into pale ales.
