Tap at the brewery - clear gold - lively pour with a compact head - a bit herbal and grassy up front, followed quickly by a clean, honey sweetness and soft herbal notes - hops return through the middle and lead to a somewhat crisp finish - still, a bit too sweet for my taste for such a low abv pils - no major flaws, though.

Tap at Falling Rock - menu stated it was 16% and I believe that over the currently listed abv because this was one serious beer - black pour with a sudsy, thick, dark tan head - creamy body and solid carbonation - intense flavors of tamarind, anise and bittersweet chocolate - sweetness is nicely tempered by bitter black malt and peppery alcohol - enough heat to make it a sipper, but not enough presence to make it boozy - astonishingly balanced but still intense and heavy.

clear yellow, no head. slightly bretty, sourish notes, apple like notes. flavor is pretty bretty, dry fruits, pretty dry for a saison, lacks finesse.

Handbottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Pours a clear yellow with hardly any head. Nose is spicy yeasty and Bretty, rather tart actually. Medium body, only a slight sparkle, fruit and yeast again with an amazing Bretty edge and quite some tart horse blanket nose. Ends dry and tart. Not so much a Saison as a Sour, but lovely as such. 150311

Tap at Falling Rock - Medium amber pour - a very bright, moderately light bock, sitting somewhere between dunkler and heller - clean, honey sweetness, with a touch of raisin - a bit of floral character and a touch of spice - clean, medium bodied, tasty.

Tap at Rackhouse - pours a deep purple - fizzy, with a minimal head - fairly sweet, almost sticky, with notes of plum, raisin and toffee up front - sweetness lingers through the middle as a very mild peaty earthiness develops - a little bit of vegetal character in the mix - finishes a little spicy, with lingering earth - no noticeable alcohol - a couple of flaws, but not bad.
