Tap at Dry Dock - more along the lines of an actual British bitter than these malty pale ales that american brewers try to pass off as esb - fairly malt-forward, with a lot of toasted grain and nutty flavor - earthy hop flavor is moderate, but bitterness is low - clean and lightly Biscuity finish - pretty tasty.

Bottle, 75cl, courtesy of Enjoyit. It pours a slightly hazy, golden body and a firm off-white head. A bit weak on the nose, slightly citrusy and with a pleasant maltyness. The flavor has pale malts, citrusy notes, bitterness and a yeasty hint. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated. Malty-sweet finish with pale malts, citrus, some bitterness and spice notes. A quite pleasant one, although a bit on the sweet side. 110129

Nitro and Dry Dock - been waiting for this, as I hate vanilla beers and have been avoiding the vanilla porter - turbid brown beer - sits somewhere in between a robust porter and traditional British one - fairly tart and semi-dry - notes of cocoa and cherry - a light bit of woodiness - some semi-sweet chocolate - tart, almost tannic finish - pretty good.

Tap at Dry Dock - clear copper - very malt-forward - crystalline sweetness - clean, pale maltiness really takes precedent over the hops, which or subdued, bland - only mild bitterness and weak hop flavor - clean, but very one dimensional - more like a malty APA - meh.

Hazy straw color - frothy, well-sustained head - nose is lightly phenolic, dusty yeast, a hint of tropical fruit and citrusy hops - flavor is tangy at first, but mostly dry throughout - crackery malt, a bit flinty, dusty - mild phenols - spicy, bitter finish - more like a really hoppy saison, but quite a good one.

Tap at Falling Rock - borders on an imperial stout, but is authentic enough to satisfy - black pour with a thick tan head - chewy, roasty, medium sweet - intense flavors bittersweet chocolate, espresso, charred malts - some bitterness from the black malt - very mild berry-like fruitiness on the tail end - nice.

Tap @ Freshcraft, Denver. Pours hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, lemon, sweet fruit. Taste is rather week, but with some wheat, banana, some sourness, lemon. Thin to medium body, soft carbonation, thin mouthfeel. Drinkable, but boring wheat. 130311

Tap at the brewery - slightly lighter and cleaner than their Ofest - a bit of clean cane sugar sweetness, as well as some light toffee/caramelization in the flavor, complimented by a light note of toasted grains - mild nuttiness on the tail end - straightforward - approachable - no discernible flaws - just lacks any standout character.

Tap at the brewery - clear gold - lively pour with a compact head - a bit herbal and grassy up front, followed quickly by a clean, honey sweetness and soft herbal notes - hops return through the middle and lead to a somewhat crisp finish - still, a bit too sweet for my taste for such a low abv pils - no major flaws, though.
