12oz bottle. Hazy orange-tan. Thin, fading head. Zesty orange-wheat aroma, even after some months in my closet. Really nails the style, yeasty and medium bodied. Refreshing, balanced, really well executed. The orange and spices are there, but they don’t overwhelm...i usually like the more yeast forward vanilla tones...this doesn’t really display that, but has the perfect mouthfeel for the style. Pretty solid, just shy of world class.

From the brewery tap, also bottle. Poured a light copper color, small foamy white head. Aroma was sweet malts, not a lot of hop character. Flavor was a bit caramel, sweetness from malts. Clean and crisp. Probably better enjoyed on a day where it isn’t snowing.

I wasn’t even aware that Port City had released an anniversary beer, so it was a nice surprise to see this on tap at Beer Run. Pours a nearly opaque black color with a medium sized creamy dark brown head. Decent head retention. Aroma of fruity notes, roasted malts, chocolate, spices and an earthy finish. The taste is big roasted malts, sweet malts, anise, other spices, leather, plums, berries and a spicy hop finish. Full bodied, smooth, low-level lingering bitterness. A bit of booze is present, and this is definitely a sipping beer. Overall very nicely done.

Draft at American Ice, served at exactly 6 PM, when kegs were tapped simultaneously all around the district. Courtesy of Dave and Patrick, thank you gentlemen! Pour is very dark clear maroon, beige head with good retention and delicate lacing. Aroma of milk chocolate, cafe au lait, light winter spice. Taste is coffee grounds, burnt espresso, dark cocoa, and a bit of pepper. Great mouthfeel. Nice stuff. Happy birthday, Port City!!!

12oz bottle. Opaque brown-black with a rusty beige head. Sweet brown-sugar and chocolate aroma. A pretty big, rugged, Porter. This is quite a nice beer, Creamy, almost milky body. Rich and quite filling, this is a great new addition to the Mid-Atlantic beer scene.

12oz bottle. Unfiltered hazy orange-tan. Straightforward APA, nice grapefruit bitterness and clean golden malt tones. Somewhere in the medium bodied designation, but ultra-sessionable. A little thin in the finish, but a respectable enough house beer.

Coriander and ginger nose, slightly vegetal. Cloudy yellow, full of fine floaties, thin head. Coriander, candi sugar, peach flavor. Vegetal coriander finish. Full body, alcohol obvious. It’s like a spiced tripel, heavy coriander. Surprisingly good.
