Had on tap at brewery and from the bottle. Poured a hazy golden color with a medium sized fluffy white head. Aroma was dry honey, spices, notes of biscuit and malts. Flavor had noticable amounts of honey, spice (coriander especially), bready yeast notes.

Cloudy copper coloured body with an orange tint and a nice (one centimetre) off-white head. Aroma of lemons, curacao, yeast, light malt and a touch of hops in the nose, more of a wit or a american hef smell than an APA. Medium-bodied; Assertive malt and floral tastes with a bit of yeast, some light metal and finally a touch of hops near the end - not much at all though. Aftertaste shows some light floral and herbal hops mixed with a good dose of malt and a little yeast and curacao. Overall, an okay beer, but needs quite a bit more hops and character to be a great beer. Nice to finally sample my first beer from the brewery, but a bit underwhelmed - still nice to have a respectable beer from Virginia again. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 30-July-2011 for US$2.25 sampled at home in Washington on 05-September-2011.

From fresh growler poured 08/26/2011. Poured aggressively (callously) for the first glass, then very carefully the second time. Both had huge heads of foamy slightly off-white heads, medium copper color. Aroma was sweet malts, aroma a bit reminiscent of something that kind of reminds me of very very very light nutmeg or cinnamon. Flavor is light sweet malts. It is a bit sweet for me, but it’s not too malt heavy. Overall, it is a good attempt by the brewery for their first Oktoberfest beer.

Shitty coriander aroma at first, not good. After letting it sits, it gets worse. After aerating briefly, it develops a vile burned popcorn odor.. Hazy amber, thin head. Flavor is coriander, light wheat malt. Finishes with popcorn. Just so you know, I despise popcorn. I never had a bad experience with it, that I can recall, but it makes me vomit.

Aroma of floral and citrus hops with a bit of mango and a toasted malt finish. The taste is citrus and tropical notes with a bitter finish and caramel malts. Medium bodied. Decently well balanced.
