Associated Venue: Amity Brew Co
Established in 2020
Amity Brew Co stands for community, friendship and good beer. We make fresh, modern interpretations of classic beer styles, as well as experimenting with what’s new.
Our brewery and taproom opened in December 2020 despite the pandemic, we can currently only welcome you on Fridays and Saturdays and for takeaway beer only but we hope that will change very soon.
We are a group of friends who met on the craft beer scene, but having worked in the UK’s best breweries and beer retailers, you could say we know our stuff.

Can from Beer52. 3/4 hazy gold with small consistent white top. Citric and spice with a slightly funky tropical aroma. Taste of big citric peel notes with fleshy overripe tropical grapefruit and passionfruit. Drying in finish with a moderate bitter punch. Sweet tangy and bitter. Near medium bodied, fairly soft mouthfeel. Good.

Can from Beer52. Dark brown with small beige top. Dark malt, moderate roast, cinnamon dustiness and sweetness on the nose. Taste of dark malts, cinnamon and a lactose sweetness, somewhat grainy and semi-dry. Somewhat simple but balanced for the style and tasty.

Bottle from Amity online shop. Black pour with a tan head. Aromas of jammy dark fruits, coffee, cocoa, dark chocolate, cola. Taste is coffee, molasses, dark chocolate, treacle toffee, more jammy dark fruits. Long alcohol burn. Uber sweet warming finish. Quite the cockle warmer.

330ml can from Beer52. Hazy yellow-gold, small white head which leaves a nice fluffy top. Aroma of mango, orange, grapefruit; fairly juicy in note. Juicy refreshing grapefruit, pale malts with hints of orange and mango. Dry finish with a medium grassy bitterness. Light to moderate body with a dryness on the palate. I rather like this one, its hoppy and refreshing without being watery.

440ml can. Clear dark gold, small white head. Aroma of cirus, stone fruits, earthy funk. Very dry in taste with tangy citrus and grapefruit, pine notes. Nice but does not stand out.

Can at home, bit slow on this one, 6th October 24. Pours off clear, until the final end of the can, orange. Aroma is peach and citrus. Taste is pleasant, candy, peach and apricots, juicy, pineapple and citrus, sweet, then a tickle of bitterness. Nice Collab, but FS on his own does a better IPA
