Fudge and nougat nose. Murky, muddy brown, thin tan head. Mild mud, some astringency, cocoa. Light body, easy carbonation.

750ml bottle pours a pitch black with a ring of white head. Nose has maple and barrel and booze and anise. Flavor is slick with booze and sugar, anise, mild spice. Finishes oily

Bottle from Urban Sprawl. Light caramel with a solid head. Grainy floral aroma. Taste is caramel malt, some light bitterness, fruity finish.

4 oz pour on draft at Spacebar. In the presence of a drunken KBS’d DCLawyer. Clear golden yellow with off-white head. Aromas of citrus, herbs, floral, spice. Tastes of booze, citrus fruit and peel, herbs. Medium body with a dry finish.

Draft at Rustico Alexandria. Poured a mostly clear amber-orange color with a mostly wispy off-white head. Aroma was lots of juicy fruit notes, light yeast funky notes. Alcohol is well masked for being 10 percent. Creamy, effervescent finish.

From a 750ml bottle at the DC tasting on March 25, 2016. Poured a very dark brown color with a small tan head. Aroma was woody whiskey notes, dark chocolate, maple and light burnt coffee. Smooth oaky notes, with some mild dark chocolate and light coffee.
