Bomber from the brewery. Pours a hazy rust-brown with a thin frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of anise, nutmeg, eggnog. The taste is caramel, booze, spice, anise, tart fruits. Medium bodied, high carbonation, strong lingering spice. Solid but a little too anise dominated.

Bomber from the brewery. Pours nearly all fizzy brown head with a thin bit of ruby brown liquid at the bottom. Poor head retention. Aroma of metal, chocolate, smoke, plastic, band-aids, heavy phenols. I said "Oh My God" while smelling it... and I’m an atheist. The taste... I’m scared... the taste is marginally better. Burnt malt, sour cherry, metal, caramel. Thin bodied, mild lingering tartness, prickly carbonation and booze. Ever held a 9-volt battery to your tongue? This reminds me of that. Three Brothers you make some excellent beer but please, PLEASE, stop making sours.

Well, this bottle was atrocious, but while the other ratings aren’t great, they aren’t this bad, so it appears maybe I got a bad bottle. But, the brewer who I’ve been in contact with has not offered another bottle or taste, so the rating will stand.

Slightly buttery grapefruit nose. Clear amber, thin head. Strong overripe orange and dandelion flavor. Full body, alcohol surprisingly well masked. Not boozy, but big and well balanced.

750ml bottle pours a hazy gold with a ring of white head. Nose has booze, lots of green bell pepper, cheap oak, wormwood, mild vinegar. More oak in the flavor, apricot, grass, lemon, a little marmalade. Medium bodied, acetic finish.

Strong aroma of nail polish esters, marzipan. Hazy amber, thin head. Marzipan, apple core, oak, with a light rum finish. Light body, fizzy and harsh. I’m not sure if there’s something with it, but I’m definitely sure I’m not a fan.
