12oz bottle from obguthr
Pours cloudy amber with a medium sized off-white head that dissipates quickly leaving lots of lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, caramel, herbal hops and burnt rubber. Flavor is grapefruit, caramel, metallic and pine resin
OK, but not balanced. The hops were bitter and lots of caramel, but they didn’t go together.

Pours clear and medium gold. A nice off-white head puffs up before dying away to a light coating of bubbles after a few minutes. The aroma is lacking. There’s just not much there. Light hops, some citrus and pine. A bit of caramel malt. Some neutral yeastiness. The taste is similarly underwhelming. Some caramel malt flavor and mild generic American hoppiness. It’s relatively dry, which is nice, but it needs some flavor to fill things out. Mouthfeel is fine, light with average carbonation. This bottle should be pretty fresh - it’s less than a month from the bottling date - but it really doesn’t seem quite right. I wouldn’t be surprised if the beer was markedly better on tap and in future bottling runs. Great Outdoors showed promise, and I’m a bit surprised that this is a step back.

Pours a bright orange-ish, brown-ish golden color. A bit cloudy. Small white head. Nice, fresh aroma. It’s mild but good. Light tropical fruit, floral and bright citrus hop notes. Gentle sugary malt in the background. Taste is similar. Mild but bright hoppiness with some simple malt in the background. Light mouthfeel. Easy to drink. It’s just a nice, drinkable APA. With more hop aroma, it would stand out and make me want more. As is, it’s a nice enough beer, rather refreshing, but I wouldn’t seek it out. Still, no real complaints.
