Bottled@Pub Winston Festival 2015. Black colour, brown head. Aroma is ashes, some nectar, mild oatmeal, liquorice and roasted malts. Flavour is being quite similar, but also has some nice toffee bringing it up one level. Good stuff!

Bottle. Very dark brown in the glass, with a dense finger thick beige head. Lacing. Roasted, almost burnt aroma with some licorice. Dried fruit notes. It’s dry and medium bodied, with a soft carbonation level. Roasted malts, coffee grit and a burnt touch. Nice roasted kind of bitterness. Lasting roasted finish. Quite lovely this one, although I wouldn’t mind some more hoppy flavors. 150905

Keg at Brewdog Shepard’s bush. Dark but brown coloured pour with with a lasting light tan head. Aroma is nutty milky coffee, toasted coconut, cocoa. Flavour is composed of tart bitter coffee in the finish, toasted coconut, harsh carbonic acid bite. Palate is a bit thin, high carbonation, a bit abrasive. A little tart raspberry and dark cocoa lingers.

Bottle. A clear golden beer with a dense white head. Quite sparkling. The aroma is fruity and lightly grassy, with a decent malty touch. Some peppery and hayish notes too. There’s a nice bitterness in the mouth, it’s almost full bodied, with a nice carbonation. A bit low on malts in the flavor I think, but with lots of nice hoppy flavors. Long fruity finish, mostly on the tropical side. Really nice this one. 150904
