Pours black with a small but firm and nicely persistent slightly off-white head. Good lacing too. A rather simple aroma shows soft toasted malts, milk chocolate and slight coffee. Good and clean though quite subdued. Taste is luckily more vivid, with feelings and taste notes as per aroma. Medium to high sweet and medium bitter, with a balanced finish. Medium bodied with light, soft carbonation, resulting in a very nice silky-smooth feel. A smooth, easy, drinkable stout, and a good one at that.

On tap @Luppolo Station (Rome). Dorata, insolitamente limpida, schiuma bianca media, discretamente persistente. Al naso note fruttate, mango, passionfruit, uva bianca, leggero erbaceo. In bocca è maltata, con un amaro praticamente inesistente, residuo zuccherino. Corpo medio-alto, carbonazione media. Birra sostanzialmente sbagliata, peccato perchè al naso regala un buono spunto.

On tap @Luppolo Station in Rome. Golden clear pour with a beautiful frothy cap. Nose: onion, root, resin. Mouth: frizzy carbo, oily hoppy palate, a bit resinous, sweet, peppery finish.

(Keg at Sori Taproom, 20190411) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had pine, grass and alcohol. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, citricness, pine, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity, malty and bitter. A nice hoppy brew with fruity taste. The high ABV was rather well hidden.

Palate was light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, citricness and low bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity. A thin and watery brew with pleasant fruitiness
