Smoky malty and yeasty fruity aroma, hints of smoked ham, smoked beechwood, a touch of banana; later Bourbon overtones. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel and wheaty malty, mildly smoky, slightly yeasty fruity, hints of baked banana, smoked ham, a touch of honey, barbecue sauce, green apple, beechwood, barely bitter hoppy counterpart. Watery texture, minimally dry palate, medium, soft carbonation. Minimally disharmonious aroma (too much smokiness), more homogeneous and balanced taste, quite some subtleties - not bad.

Wheaty malty, slightly citrusy fruity and minimally spicy aroma, hints of orange, orange peel, a touch of banana, coriander, fruity hoppy overtones with a touch of lemon. Taste is slightly watery, bitter hoppy, wheaty malty with low residual sweetness, slightly zesty, citrusy fruity, slightly diluted hints of banana, orange peel. Watery texture, dry palate, medium, prickly to lively carbonation. Nice aroma but too dry and hoppy concerning taste - not fully convincing.

330ml bottle. Minimally milky, yellow-ish, golden colour with average to huge, firm, frothy, very slowly osteoporosing, moderately lacing, white head. Herbal-grassy hoppy and minimally spicy, grainy, pale malty aroma, a touch of nettle, sage, sorrel, weak, citrusy and minimally waxy overtones. Taste is fairly bitter, herbal-grassy hoppy and minimally spicy, pale malty, hints of nettle, a touch of sage and sorrel. Minimally oily, watery texture, dry palate, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Well crafted, clean, pretty hoppy and fairly bitter - good.

Clear golden yellow beer with a white head. Aroma of mild sweet grainy malt, straw. Taste of sweet pale malt, straw, mild bitterness.

Hazy bright golden yellow beer with a beige head. Aroma of mango juice, tropical fruits. Taste of mango juice, tropical fruits, some grains, long bitter finish.

Hazy golden beer with a big white head. Aroma of citrusy bitter hops, citra. Taste of sharp citrusy hops, flowers, pale malt, long bitter finish.

Weich hopfiger, moderat bitterer Beginn. Spritzig, die Bitterkeit wird stärker, mittellanger, etwas harziger Abgang. 10/11/10/9//10

Weicher, hell getreidiger Beginn. Moderat hopfig, geringe Bitterkeit, spritzig. Weich würzig, eher trocken, spritzig. Weich, herb-hopfiger Abgang. Gut. 11/10/9/10//10

Das Pacific Breeze - ein West Coast IPA ... Optisch tiefgülden bis hellbernsteinfarben und opaltrüb. Die weiße, feinporige Schaumkrone zeigt sich flaumig-stabil und langlebig. In der Nase vernimmt man leicht karamellige Malznoten und reiffruchtige Anklänge von Orange, Mango und Maracuja. Leider schleicht sich eine Note von Chlorphenol hinzu. Diese verschwinden aber mit der Zeit. Der Antrunk kommt breit malzig, toastig bis leicht karamellig, angenehm rezent und kräftig herb. Das Mundgefühl wird von einem Körper mit guter Fülle, feiner Rezenz, geschmeidig-samtiger Viskosität und angenehmer Trockenheit geprägt. Geschmack und Aroma geben sich leicht süß und gut bitter mit leicht honigartigen bis karamelligen Malznoten und reiffruchtigen und herben Noten von Orange, Grapefruit und Maracuja. Die phenolischen Noten beschränken sich zum Glück weitestgehend auf die orthonasale Wahrnehmung und spielen im sonstigen Trinkverlauf keine Rolle. Die prägnante Herbe heftet sich gut an die fruchtigen Noten. So ergibt sich ein durchaus knackiges, aber doch recht angenehmes Gesamtbild. Alles was in eine kräftigere Herbe geht, lässt die Drinkablity naturgemäß etwas sinken. Dennoch ist hier eine ganz gute Durchtrinkbarkeit gegeben. Im Nachtrunk bauen die leicht malzigen und süßlich-herben Fruchtnoten langsam ab. Letztendlich legt sich eine prägnante, kantige, leicht grasig-tockene Hopfenherbe in Mund und Kehle.
