F: medium, pale tanned, average retention. C: dark, opaque. A: sweet malty, caramel, bit vinous, toffee, vanilla, dried fruits, molasses, candy. T: thick caramel malty, vinous, vanilla, toffee, caramel, dried fruits, figs, dates, bit sticky oily mouthfeel, full complex body, low carbonation, very nice example for the style, fully enjoyed, 33cl bottle as “Widawa Pogromca” 11,5%, from Swafff! 2018 Brussels Craft Beer Festival.

0,375l bottle at home shared with a friend. BB 31.12.2018. black color, almost no head. smells smoked, earthy, licorice, bit grassy, bit nutty. very nice smell. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes sweet, earthy, molasses, soy sauce, light rum, bit leathery, pepper, marzipan, nutty, light smoke. finishes medium sweet with notes of molasses, soy sauce and some peppery notes. nice to very nice, but also quite sweet. Complexity could be a bit better.

Fra flaske på RBHD-samling på Bjørnøy, juni-18: brunsvart med fint skum som varer. Deilig aroma og smak, her sniker det seg inn litt kreosot sammen med bjørnebær, kaffe, brandy og svisker. Lutter glede fra ende til annen - og farlig lettdrikkelig!

Shared 330 ml bottle. Black colour, beige head. Smokey and roasty aroma, more smoke than brandy notes, old rope and tar. The flavour is fairly dry, with too much smoke and tar for my taste. Oak and brandy are subdued.

Tap (9WFDP, Wrocław). Słodowe, słodkie ale nie ulepek, świetnie ułożone, ciut owocowe o bardzo ciemnej barwie, lekkie w odbiorze, ze świetnie ukrytym alkoholem, bardzo smaczne. Butelka 330ml (BB 02.09.2018). Z butelki kompletnie inne, raczej wytrawne niż słodkie z mocno drewnianą nutą beczki a słodycz jest tylko w posmaku. Inne, może ciut bardziej alkoholowe, ale równie smaczne.

On tap at Strefa Piwa, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out dank pithy hops, with stone fruits, and biscuity malt. Flavour is a bit chalky and stale, with pithy stone fruits, dank hops, and biscuity malt. There's something off about this. It's fruity and nicely hoppy, but there's a chalkiness that permeates this and detracts from the drinkability.
