33 cl bottle @ ISKTR ’16. BBE 07.01.2016
Aroma has oaty tones and some soy sauce. Flavour has strong berry juice, red wine and some balsamico typical to flamish red ales. Quite far from IS and not my thing.

Aroma has urinal cake, citrus and biscuits. Flavour has strong bretta tones, tartness, earthy notes and grapefruit. Not your typical session IPA, strong on bretta.

Bottle @ home shared with kermis. Opaque very dark brown to black color, medium to full sized brown head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is malts, dark malts, peat, smoke, medicinal. Taste malts, some peat but not too much, some smoke, quite boozy rum and a bit bitter in the finish. Hm ok but not really my kind of beer.

Bottle shared. Black with a medium beige head. Aroma is medicinal upfront, peaty notes showing more Scotch than rum. Boozy, smokey and with dark chocolate, toffee and malt behind. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter. Full bodied with an aggressive boozy hot palate and soft carbonation. [18-08-2016]

Pours black, no head. Smell is wild indeed. Red wine ( rather than bourbon ) and oak. Very sharp. Taste is sharp as well. Sour, wild yeast Ft black malts has never been good to me, but this one in specific isn’t the best in that type of thing as well. Much tannines, no real bourbon left.
