Young, lots of fresh cherry, very clean, not much funk

Can from the Lane CEllars Orange NSW. Almost black colour with a tan head. Plenty of rich sweet chocolate and lactose. But a fairly light body.

It's a very pale beer and I'm not expecting much, but I get a really rich aroma of vanilla, caramel, lemon and a little coffee. Unfortunately, the sweet flavours dominate in the mouth a little too much, leaving a cloying aftertaste.

A classic hazy with the addition of an unusual pine and grass hop flavour that dominated the softer notes of passionfruit and mango.

Tap. Amber with a cream head. Biscuity aroma with subtle tropical, honeydew melon and spice notes. Briefly rich but not v sweet with lovely fruity and spicy bitterness. Really nice balance with just enough of a nod to noble hops to work.

Aromas of orange peel and cherry cough medicine. Cherry and grapefruit notes in the mouth with some dry biscuit on the front of the tongue. Drinkable but not a classic.

Lots of the tropics in this one. There's a big hit of pineapple, mango and grapefruit on the nose and a beautiful soft citrus and tropical taste in the mouth. Just lacks a little punch at the finish.

Can. Pretty much opaque yellow orange with a good cm of white head. Aroma of grass and grapefruit with melon and berries underneath. Some light bread. A bit - but not too - bubblegummy. Lightish bodied. Fruity and sweet for a while before a bitter and almost bitingly herbal finish. (Whether this is what is meant by a plush, new wave finish I cannot say).

Can. Deep amber with a beige head that fizzes away. Yes, biscuity aroma with ginger. Then it turns out to have more depth than it first appears, with singed dark sugars and strong bread before quite firm bitterness accompanies the ginger at the end. Interesting.

Can from their advent box. Deep purple with a cm of pink head that lasts pretty well. Aroma of blackberries, summer pudding. A little sour, dryish and seasoned. Loads of blackberries. Nicely balanced, refreshing.
