Cask at Hanging Bat. It pours dark mahogany brown with a decent yellow-white head. The nose is rich, malt-driven, musty, damp wood, leather, cereal, varnish, caramel and dark fruits. The taste is rich, big malty action, wood, leather, fruit cake, caramel, dried fruits, eccles cakes, brown bread, touch of peppery spice with a slick, sweet finish. Medium-full body, fine carbonation and unctous oily mouth-feel. Well rounded and good body. As ever a quality Luckie Ales product.
