50cl of Christmas Ale at 7.6% from Utobeer, Borough Market. A slightly hazy golden brown with a small and rapidly fading off-white head. Rich christmas cake aroma with glace fruit, brandy, port, raisins and caramel and just a hint of vanilla. Thick, oily, texture, with a luscious booze-soaked fruit cake flavour - with chunks of apricot and pineapple as well as raisins and sultanas. The finish is warming and port-like and covers the alcohol really well. Excellent, even though Christmas was five months ago.
