Adding in my 300 Beers To Try ticks because I want to see how they impact my stats and some of them I will never see again. Will however re-rate them when practical. Wine Rack, West Byfleet.

Many thanks Simon! Interesting fruity beginning. Lots of plums in the beginning, a bit too much fruity aroma over a beery body. According to the ingredients there is only natural plum aroma in the beer - and no real plums. So the balance between plum aroma and porter is not balanced well. Tastes a bit pushy artificial. Sad.

Cask at Hogshead, Wolverhampton Pours “black cherry” red with a small cream head and good lacing. Has a fruity aroma, but the sharpness of cranberries rather than the expected cherries. The cherries come through it the mouth though, along with plums and a base of vanilla. Finish is cherries again, but fading to bitterness. A nice beer, but maybe suffers from my rating it straight after Cappuccino Stout !

Cask at Hogshead, Wolverhampton Pours a very dark reddish brown with a tight beige head and excellent lacing. Has a powerful nose of chocolate and coffee with a hitn of malts also. In the mouth it is coffee and chocolate again (but both milky) plus some dark fruits to balance things. Finish is bitter coffee grounds. Have drunk this before, but rating it has made me appreciate what a great beer it is !

Pours a clear pale golden colour with a small white head that settled. Aroma is grainy malt; citrus and grassy hops. Moderately sweet taste, light malts and grapefruit flavours with a long citrusy bitter finish.
