(2017 London) 1/2 Pint Cask @ Waterloo Tap. Dark ruby brown, tanned head. Nose is massive sweet plum, prune in a candied & good way. Slightly watery but pleasant delicious prune & plum candy and syrup, sweet but in a good way. Quite nice.

Keg @ Drink? Hebden Bridge. Blonde with a head. Its raspberry is stated in both aroma and taste, but perhaps a little more so in the former. There's some wheat character to be found in the ale too.

4th Sep 2017: Shrewsbury monthly beer share in Chez Sophie, cheers Mike for this 330ml bottle. This was labelled as the '6 Month Aged' version, it tasted tart and almost sour in nature; so much so I remarked it reminded me of an old Rodenbach because of the colour, aroma and flavour.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Sep 17. Late-bottled vintage version. Thanks to Mike. Pours a dark reddish deep red wine brown. Aroma lightly sweet dark malt. Taste is markedly different from the cask influence. Extremely light, with some Flemish dark sour notes with vinous hints. Definitely should be a different entry. Interesting.

330ml bottle from Mitchell's Meadowhead - deep hazy red body, small head. nose is plums, plums, plums. taste is sweet plums, nice bitter finish. quality.

Cask halfpint at The Archibald Simpson, Aberdeen. ABV was said to be 3.8%. Golden colour, white head. Weak aroma, a hint of toffee. Dry flavour with fairly distinct bittering hops, a hint of lemon peel, vinegar and butterscotch.

Cask at the Peterborough beer Festival 2017. A hazed ruby red amber coloured pour with a a fading tan head . Aroma is sweet, artifical jammy fruit concentrate, plum and brown malts. Flavour is composed of nutty malts, tangy peach and plum. Apricot jam, brown bread. Palate is medium sweet, sticky rounded mellow carbonation. Ok. Too artificial.

Almost black with fluffy head. Aroma and flavour are full of sweet jam like plums. Dangerously easy to drink.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light, crisp, fruity, pepper spice hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
