Pendle Beer Festival 2017. Very dark and strongish tasting, which negates some of the plum flavour which is prevalent in the original brew. Has a decent nose though.

Cask at the Standing Order. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of light lemon and malt. Taste is light sweet, malt and more faint lemon. Pretty one-dimensional, maybe a bit thin on the finish.

Bottle from that garden centre neat Preston. Appearance - close to opaque black but with somered chinks. Nice fawn head. Nose - big cherry lozenge note. Taste - molasses and more cherry lozenge. Palate - close to medium bodied with a tangy yet sweet middle section that continues through the finish. Overall - I’d imagine this could be tedious if you didn’t like cherry lozenge but I do like cherry lozenge so that redeems it somewhat.

Gravicask at Chelmsford & Mid Essex Winter Beer Festival. Shared with Cunningham. Bubbly head, clear pink-golden body. Smell of raspberry skins. Flavoured with raspberry, lightly spiced. Dry and sweet ending. Drinkable, not my kind of beer (17.02.2017).

Cask (backlog). Black colour with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma is liquorice, ripe fruits, some toasted notes along with mild chocolate to it. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, some dark dried fruits as well as mild wooden notes.
