Colbitzer Edel, Flasche aus der Getränkequelle, Quedlinburg (?). - Kupfergold, blank. - In der Nase mild-aromatisches Karamelmalz und milde hopfenwürzige Herbe, etwas aromatischer als ein gewöhnliches Helles. - Antrunk blaß karamelmalzig mit leichter hopfenwürziger und zitrusfruchtiger Herbe. Milde, zart honigartige Süße. Gut rezent, recht dünn. Im Abgang blasse, zart muffige Herbe. - Die kräftigere Farbe und die nicht ganz banale Nase können nicht darüber hinwegtäuschen, daß wir es hier mit einem ganz gewöhnlichen, ausschließlich mit Hopfenextrakt angerührten Industriebier zu tun haben. Edel ist daran gar nichts, aber immerhin ist es trinkbar. (24.6.2022.)

Cheap 4 pack grab. Dark black pour. Nose is roast and cocoa. Tastes of cola, roast, coffee, barley. Smooth and thin.

500ml can. Pours almost clear gold with a tall white head. Aroma is banana, wheat, a touch phenolic. Taste is light sweet, white bread, banana, yeast. Light bitter finish.

500 ml can from Spec's - Boerne. Pours a clear super dark brown color with a large light tan head and excellent retention. Good lacing. Basic pale malt aroma. The flavor is a pretty basic dark malt profile with some light coffee notes in the finish, but it's missing the roasted malts I love in a Schwarzbier. Medium-light body and average carbonation. Not bitter. Very smooth and clean, but just not very exciting.

16 oz. can from Spec's - Boerne. Pours a clear gold color with a white head and good retention. Limited Pilsner malt aroma. Straightforward Euro lager flavor. More of a pale lager taste than a pilsner. Very minor Euro skunk taste. A decent, serviceable beer. No off tastes. Low bitterness.

Pour is a almost black with a compact mocha tan head. Aroma is a slight roast and some caramel. Flavor is some burnt sugar and a very minor roast. It does have some flavor but kind of a thin beer. Cheap enough to pick up a 4 pack of can though.

Pour is a darker clear gold with a large white fluffy head. Aroma is some generic lager bready malt. Flavor is light but decent malty backbone a little mineral and ends with some nice floral hops. I thought this was pretty darn good. Decent bready malt and nice Euro hops. Also this was $6 a 4 pack of tallboy cans. You can't beat that.
