Bottled (bryg 53, October 2008, PBF). Exploding bottle, hazy yellow, small white head. Grainy apple jam aroma. Grainy, hoppyness, some sweet fruity apple flavors. Simple and boring, but not totally hopeless.

Bottled. Very lively beer. Hazy orange colour, small white head. Aroma is yeast, mild earth and malts. Flavour is quite much the same. A bit boring stuff.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt, alcohol, and wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, and wood. The alcohol leaves a burn in the mouth. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Blind tasting at Papsø’s
Hazy amber color; small head. Light aroma of malt, apples, puke, vegetables; I fear a little problem with the bottle. Good body structure, good malt and caramel flavor, quite sweet; correct bitterness; maybe the alcohol is a bit too evident. Quite solid strong brew.

Bottle 70 cl. Hazy amber golden with a small off-white head. Aroma of overripe fruit, caramel and alcohol. Quite full-bodied, notes of overripe fruit and yeast with a fairly solid alcohol in the finish that hardly holds any bitterness. 290509

Bottle 70 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Hazy amber golden with an off-white head. Very fruity with a little banana in the nose. Quite full-bodied with sweet fruits and yeast. Some bitterness with a distinct alcohol in the finish. Quite drinkable but not really an Old Ale at all. 270509

From bottle, blind #4. Pours hazy dark orange with a small off-white head. Light phenolic, yeasty and caramelish malt aroma. Sweet caramel, distinct phenol presence and roasted malt flavours. Bitter and slight acidic touch. Dry and phenolic finish from back of the nose.

Bottle, thx to Papsoe. It pours a clear, sparkling, golden body, topped by a creamy, off-white, two-finger head. Weak nose with fruityness and pale malts. Nice, but too weak. The flavor is a bit weak too, with some fruits, pale malts, a little sweetness, and a nice, citrusy, resiny bitterness. A bit short maybe. Medium body, nicely effervescent. A quencher that starts a bit boring, but improves as you drink. (090501)

Bottle 70 cl. A slightly hazy yellow beer with a small, off-white head. Aroma of fruit and yeast. Medium body, a little sweet fruit and yeastiness. The apple notes are a little too downplayed I reckon. Somewhat astringent finish. 291208
