On tap @Barbaro (Roma). Bruna, intensa, schiuma écru compatta a grana finissima, molto persistente. Al naso note molto esili, leggero caffè e cacao amaro. In bocca è ben equilibrata, attacco leggermente abboccato, chiusura secca, caffè americano, minerale. Corpo esile, carbonazione soft. Discreta.

Can from Systembolaget. This wasn't nice at all really. A very queasy feeling produced by a thin Guinness. Nice look and all but far too thin.

Bottled 500ml. -from Ipertosano Pradamano, shared with Marko & Hrabren. Unclear amberish coloured, medium sized off-white head, floral and some oxidation in the nose. Dusty, earthy, herbal, some vegetables and obvious oxidation with short finish. IPA only on the label.

0.5 l bottle thanks to Ogi who brought it from Italy, shared with Marko and him. Unclear golden, small off-white head. Aroma is lightly hoppy, floral and perfumy at first, caramely right after with notes of cardboard, carrot and earthy notes. Smooth, creamy, thin, soft to moderate carbonation. Flavour is sweet cooked carrot, earthy and herbal flavour. Heavy signs of oxidation, cardboard and astringency. Light dry finish.

500ml bottle, thx Ogi for bringing it from Italy and sharing with Hrabren and me! Lightly hazy deeper amber-golden body, off-white head. Terribly oxidized aroma, fruity, floral, but immensely dusty and stale, bit caramelly, in combination vegetal. Same, identical taste, dusty, vegetal, carroty, some cakey rose water touches, not much bitterness, what little there is is rough. This is 5 -6 months before it's expiry date, it feels like 5-6 years. What did those people in Udine do with it? Keep on the roof of the store in the sun?

Very deep brown with minimal beige head. Dark fruits, lightly tart cherry, roasted notes, some chocolate, oak, vanilla. Medium bodied. Finish has some tart cherry and roasted malt bitterness. It’s fine.

Classic nitro stout pour with a black or very dark body and a firm, creamy tan head. Some roasted malt notes, light cocoa, un-brewed ground malt (that brewhouse smell after the malt gets ground but before it goes into the wort), earth. Medium body with a touch of chalk. Finish is dry and lightly roasted. Compared to the standard bearer of 0.0 Irish Stouts (Guinness) this is a drier alternative. It’s a fine option though I do prefer the Guinness overall I’d keep cans of this around to switch things up.

A rich, clear copper with a light tan head. Toasted malts, wet dough, a bit of that brewhouse wort influence, light fruits, medium sweetness. Medium bodied. Light bitterness but it does exist. Finish has more of that wort profile. It’s fine but feels a bit underdeveloped.

Very dark but with a touch of reddish highlights. Big, creamy tan head. Classic Irish stout profile with dry roasted malts, chocolate, a touch of coffee, light earthy notes. Finish is lingering roasted malts and quite dry. Full, creamy body. This slaps for the style.

Deep red with a tan head. A bit of fruit up front followed closely by deep toasted bread, cracker malt, dark malts, some sweet toffee, and multigrain bread. Medium bodied. Malty, toasted bread finish with a crisp bit at the end. A very solid red.
