Bottle at Butters’ Slutfest: Lemon zest nose, moderate strength. Clear amber, thin head. Nice mixture of lemon and piney hop flavors. Finishes more piney. Good balance, not too exotic or complex, but well made.

Growler from the brewpub. As the name implies, this pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized white frothy head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of big citrus and floral hops, some toasted malts and caramel. The taste is pale toasted malts, a faint bit of caramel, bitter hops in the finish. Medium bodied. I expect a bit more from a barleywine. Nice flavor, but lacking a bit overall.
