Pulpy purple with a ring of white head. Vinous nose, merlot, red wine vinegar, some blueberry wine. Flavor hits with apple cider vinegar, nearly a bruin on the tongue, berry is there, jammy, red wine preserves. Finishes full bodied and tart. 7 4 7 3 13

Bottle, 2018 vintage. Pours dark brown. Caramel, biscuit, toffee, raisin, dried grape, cranberry, prune, dried raspberry, soft toffee finish. Full soft body. This has mellowed beautifully over the years. Excellent.

Draught at source: pours dark brown with beige head. Aroma is dark fruity notes, some sugary maltiness. Taste has a note of hops, dark fruity. Solid.

Draught at source: pours clear gold with white head. Aroma is Belgian yeast, mellow fruitiness. Taste is spicy and tangy. Belgiany for sure but perhaps a bit hoppier.
