Slight licorice aroma. No head. Roasted malt flavor with blackcurrant and apple. A typical smooth german-type schwarzbier. Rather thin and not abundant with flavor, but still a very nice beer. Re-rate 15 months past best before date. Porto, pepper and licorice in both aroma and flavor. Rather thin. Some grapes. Salmiac. This beer has kept itself wonderfully well.
