Description
Brewing in freedom. Young and locally oriented nano brewery. Brewing small batches we developed 20+ delicious beers over the last 4 years. At the end of 2015 we opened up our brewpub 'Café Rad van Wageningen' where we serve our locally produced beers plus some samples of other beers. For non beer drinkers we have a modest list of (good dutch) wines, stronger liquors and many other beverages. Don't forget the crafty pubmeals on friday or saturday. (Local Dutch brewer with description in English; because in the city of Wageningen we have lot's of foreign customers)

Draft at Rad van Wageningen (22 march 2025) and bottled. Color: Hazy (unfiltered) amber, white head. Aroma: Barley / grainy, hoppy backbone. Taste: Dry-ish, floral hop, malty and grainy base with hints of caramel. Subtle fruity esters. Just over medium body, just below average carbonation. Indeed like a British Pale Ale. Nice medium to over medium bitterness. Moderate sweetness. I especially like the long lasting bitter and bone-dry finish, which remionds me somehow of chewing on licorice.

Fles gedeeld met Roelzie. Het is een troebel oranje bruin bier met een medium beige schuim. Het heeft een aroma van mout en kruiden. De smaak is moutig, kruidig en wat zoetig.

Bottle, directly from brewery. After De Wageningse Engel blond, dubbel and tripel, now there's a new strongest one... Quadrupel. Very dark murky brown, thin beige head. Aroma: Raisins, dark malt, caramel. Taste: Dark malt, some roasted malt, raisins, caramel malt, floral hop backbone. Earthy. Hints of molasses and liquorice. Just over medium body, below average carbonation. Over moderate sweet, light bitterness, going to moderate at the dry-ish, liquorice-like finish.
