Description
We're a nano brewery located in Oradea, in the North-West side of Romania dedicated to craft brewing. Addictive Brewing is about refusing to fit a pattern or stick to a script. This means the integration of locally sourced elements, all region-specific, in the brewing process, not just as an ideology, but as a fundamental rule to live, breathe and work by. From using only Bihor county sourced fruit, to only Bihor county sourced barrels (or at the very least, barrels that held locally sourced wine or brandy), the brewing process is solely restricted to the unlimited formative, informative and deformative nature of the Bihor county. This was how the first 100% Romanian wild ales were born, Bosco and Falling Heads - in the absence of beer yeast, the full magic of the wild yeast and the local microflora comes into play. Addictive Brewing beers can start from Belgian, German and American recipes, and become... local. The element essential to the entire brewing process is time, local as well. No rush - not the production, not the beer. There's nothing more loathsome than shortcuts.

Hazy dull muddy gold. Smells malty, old sack malts. Similar taste, sweet cloying maltose, some husky cereal, peppery bitterness. Feels suspiciously sweet, unfresh and lacking crispness.

Hazy ruby, minuscule pink head. The aroma is sour cherries, cherry pith, some malts sugars - not very strong but fine. The taste is light sour, light sweet, light cherry and some cherry pith funk / nutty bitterness. A nice, not too complex, light sour beer.

Hazy pale straw, white head. Bright pale fruity aroma - honey and ripe white grapes. Very little resins, making stale fruit come through a bit. Similar taste - pale malt / grapes, soft tannic bitterness. Very nice.

Batch 2, draft at BCBF. Slightly hazy palest straw, big white head. Smells of white citrus fresh, some white grapes, just a little bit of fruity sugars. Light white raisin sweetness, strong and smooth white sweetie grapefruit pithy bitterness. Excellent airy citrus profile, super pale malts. Just a bit of unfresh fruit offs put it off. (Almost) Excellent. 3,8/5.
Batch 1, draft at CCBF. Really pale straw, cloudy, nice head. The aroma is really dank, almost no malts, nice but ascetic. Similar taste, neither fruity nor malty, just soft hop powder. The bitterness is moderate but a bit too alpha acidic and a tad sharp. Zero fruit juice. 3,6/5.
