Description
SOSAB = Science of Sour Ale Brewing = stands for beers brewed authentically in the South of West Flanders according to Belgian tradition. The beers age authentically but are intriguing, fascinating and bitter. They are Sour Ales with a twist.

No head whatsoever; clear metallic terra-cotta coloured beer. Light sour, very fruity nose; red fruit/berries. Some solvent and alcohol. Sweet-sour and really fruity, without becoming fruitjuice. Alcoholic beer underneath very present, not at all in relation to its ABV. More than a bit woody. Quite (fruit)slick, almost no CO², long lasting flavours. Pleasing fruitbeer! Txs to Stef!

22/XI/22 - 33cl can @ HoReCa expo (Gent), BB: n/a (2022-1659) Thanks to Erwin, Peter and others for sharing today’s beers.
Clear copper coloured beer, creamy dense off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: offensive and dirty smell at first, sulphur notes, yeasty, overripe fruits, very herbal, spicy, some raspberry jam, not very convincing. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: weird, very bitter, unpleasant, dirty, sulphur, bleh, don’t like it. Aftertaste: funky, dirty, sourish, yuck, not a fan of this one at all.

Can from Beers@Moviefun. Clear golden, thin, off-white head. Aroma of unripe peach, plum, apricot, grape, wood, wet hay, vague cheese, fruit cake. Taste has sour unripe peach & grape, bit citric, sweetish apricot streak underneath a biscuity, almost brioche-like malt profile. Tart finish, soft grassy hops, some funky hay, wood, and lingering sweet-sour stonefruit. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Okay, I can see that this is going somewhere, but it's just a tad too 'implicitly' sweet.

Lichtbruin bier met schuim. Smaak is fris fruitig zoetzuur met iets van bessen, sinaasappel en appel. Ondanks zuur bier niet mijn ding is vind ik deze best goed!
