Bottle at the flat in Varna - picked up from Teddy Beer. Pours mostly clear gold with a foamy, white head. Not bad overall, some pleasant pithy citrus, dry pale malt character, soft pine needle bitterness. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Finishes with further pithy citrus, rinds, pale biscuits, pine needles. Very drinkable.

ABV: 7.5%. Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, wood - oak, vanilla. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long to average duration, vanilla - wood, chocolate, wood - oak, dark malt, roasted, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20200316]

ABV: 5.0%. Clear medium to light orange - amber yellow colour with a average to small, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, hay, straw, light to moderate hoppy, grass, fruity hops, nectar - flowers. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration, nectar - flowers, pale malt, hay - straw, fruity hops, thin, medium dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20200316]

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, dark malt, sweet malt, chocolate, moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, chocolate, sweet malt, dark malt, hoppy, malt and hop bitter, caramel, light ash. Bottle in Riu Pravets - picked up at Nosferatu in Sofia. Pours jet black with a frothy, beige head. Dense and toothy, with strong ashy roast, bitter black coffee, dry baking cocoa. Medium bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Finishes with more dry ashy character, bittersweet baking cocoa, burnt rubber, scorched earth. A good old-school stout. Quite solid.

Bottle at the flat in Gabrovo - picked up in Sofia. Pours black-brown with a frothy, beige head. Not bad, with lots of strong ashy roasted malts, bitter dark chocolate, some vanilla pods, scorched earth. Medium bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Bitter finish, with further dark chocolate, ashy roast and baking cocoa. Pretty good.

Bottle at the flat in Sofia - picked up at 100 Beers. Pours hazy orange-gold with a frothy, lightly off-white head. Has some piney hops, semi-ripe citrus fruits, supportive sun-kissed pale malts. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with more citrus fruits, a mild flinty note, more moderate piney bitterness. Not bad overall.
