0.5l fliptop bottle (with a completely different label, cool eagle over the Swiss cross) courtesy of and shared with ogivlado who got it in a trade with Allen (thanks both!) For all the yeast that clung onto the cap and the neck of the bottle, this one poured a surprisingly clear amber body. It also had a small, lasting white head. The nose is basically sticky caramel and light cardboard, malty and unimpressive. The taste is soft, light and more of the same. Caramel maybe and no hop in the taste, might as well have been Hungarian. The hop does, however, show up in the aftertaste carrying some weak bitterness. Yay. It’s a drinkable, dull caramelly lager (spice/herb/vegetable? what?!). Boring.

Can 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear pale yellow with a white creamy head. Rather metallic nose. Medium body, malt and brewing cereal with loads of metal accents. Quite some bittering hops in the finish. 270310

Bottle (thanks to Allen!): Light sweetish-grainy nose, medium-sized white head, golden coloured; light sweetish (-grainy) flavour, medium bodied; short, thinnish bitter-sweet finish. Disappointing......

(bottle) Clear, deep golden colour with a big and blond, not very persistent foamy head. Sweet and minimally bready malty nose with a tinge of dust and herbal hops. Light-bitter flavour, light to medium with a soft carbonation. Pale malty, slightly bready taste with bland herbal accents; moderately dry and slightly bitter hoppy finish, initially with metallic notes, that fade quickly. Profane brew. 24.II.10

Bottle 500ml. @ home. [ As Falken Zwickelbier ]. Unclear medium orange color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, caramel, fruity, straw notes, light to moderate yeasty, orange, overripped mandarin. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. IMO a bit queasy of overripped fruit and yeast .. [20091124]

bottle, mit dank an Julian!!! Deep golden, nearly amber colour with a mid-sized white head. Aroma of honey. Maltyx with lots of honey flavours (Tannenhonig - fir tree honey), as well as shy hints of nuts and quite a lot of herbs (Ricola?!). A very interesting and good beer. I really enjoyed it!
